Greetings to ALL IEM YOUNG MEMBERS !!!


FREE seats are available for grabs … limited FREE seats worth RM230 each !!!… for The UpComing Conference of ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations 2006 (CAFEO 2006) to be held from 30th November to 2nd December 2006 at Sunway Lagoon Resort Hotel (Bandar Sunway, Selangor).


CAFEO 2006, officially hosted by The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM) aims:
- To promote understanding, goodwill and co-operation among fellow engineers,
- To set a platform for fellow engineers to exchange ideas, concerns and experiences.

Do not miss all these opportunities which comes only “once in a blue moon” as it encompasses the following criteria and benefits… just to mention a few of them…


=> Open to IEM young engineers only (age of 39 and below),

=> Valid for 2 full days (30th and 2nd December 2006 only) - inclusive of opening & closing ceremony; a welcoming dinner and a cultural night dinner
(However, it will not be inclusive of the YEAFEO (a Young Engineer’s Programme) technical trips which will be held on 1st and 2nd December 2006),

=> Highlights of the events are :- paper presentations as per attached {CAFEO 2006 - Tech Session Programme_v2. doc},

=> An opportunity to meet up with young engineers from ASEAN countries: Singapore, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Brunei and Malaysia; and observing countries: Japan, Australia, Hong Kong and Canada,

=> An opportunity to be in the conference conducted locally which only comes once every 10 years time (This conference held every year, is hosted in rotation by each member organization, and this year 2006 the conference is hosted by Malaysia).
