Altera InNoCom ‘06

Assalamualaikum and Good Day,

Altera-MMU-UTM 2006 Innovative Project Competition (Altera InNoCom ’06) is a project competition where the 9 selected groups will be demonstrating and presenting their innovative projects. The innovation in this project is related to improvement, creation or invention. In this project, the Altera Nios® APEX board must be used as the main platform. This event also will serve as platform for engineering students to exchange their ideas.

Feeling bored about the coming new trimester? Don't know what to do? Need a way to kickstart your mood? You are lucky because Engineering Society will be organizing a camp to Hutan Rekreasi Ayer Keroh, Melaka. All MMU students are welcome to join this camp.

Trip to Subang's Prestigious Control Tower and Air Traffic Control Center.

Greetings,

Institution of Engineers Malaysia [student setion], Multimedia University, Melaka campus [MMUIEM] is organising a trip for MMU students to Subang's prestigious Control Tower and Air Traffic Control Center. Participants will have the opportunity access to the control tower with the supervision and assistance from Subang Airport administration to tour and guide us while we are there....

After the trip, we will be heading down to Sunway Pyramid! Yes, i repeat Sunway Pyramid for those shopaholic! We can shop till we drop!

So, come n join us! We are talking about all those experience we will be gaining and not forgetting the fun we will be having!

CAFEO 24,AFEO, YEAFEO.

Want to know more what AFEO,CAFEO AND YEAFEO stands for?Well,here we go:
AFEO : ASEAN federation of Engineering Organisation
: Founded in 1980
: Brings together national engineering organisations from ASEAN Countries as
national members

CAFEO : Conference of ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organization
: Theme of this year "Branding of ASEAN Professional Engineering Services and
Education for Global Mobility"
: Attended by delagates from Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Japan, Hong
Kong,India and China as well.

YEAFEO : Young Engineers of ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organization.

Last year, the successful 23rd CAFEO was held in Viaentiane Laos. They delibrate on various issues, which affect the ASEAN Engineering fraternity in particular and the ASEAN Economic Community in general and to find particular solutions for them.

This year, CAFEO 24, the 24th conference of ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations (CAFEO 24) is hosted by The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia [IEM]. This conference provide the opportunity for the exchange of information and experiences besides fostering closer co-operation among the 10 ASEAN engineering organisations especially in the field of engineering, technology and innovation.
This year's theme: "Branding of ASEAN Professional Engineering Services and Education for Global Mobility."

The event was held from 30th November 2006 till 2nd December 2006 and throughout the programme, MMU-IEM were given the opportunities to join in the event.
